Thank you for visiting Freebird Pottery, I’m Kaitlin |
I'm a certified teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Art Education, a minor in Psychology, and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. After 15 years teaching art in public schools, I realized it was time to follow a different path.
Freebird Pottery Studio was born in 2021 when I left the classroom and turned a lifelong dream into reality. What started as a shared creative space for private lessons has grown into my own full-time pottery studio. Today, I work from my home studio in Central Connecticut, where every piece is made by hand from start to finish. In a world flooded with mass production and shortcuts, I create one-of-a-kind pieces entirely by hand. There are no molds or castings, no transfers or stencils—just clay, my hands, and a whole lot of care. Every piece is hand-thrown or hand-built, then individually drawn and painted. |
