LESSONS

I offer personalized private lessons for up to two at a time. Lesson cost includes tool use, instructor demonstrations, pottery wheel use, clay materials, glazes, and firing costs. Proper storage and clean-up procedures will be demonstrated.

​These sessions are designed to be fun and informational while giving guidance in a variety of building techniques. Each lesson is fully suited to the needs and skill level-from beginner to novice. Experience the benefit of individualized attention in lessons of small groups or one-on-one.

DURING THESE SESSIONS, YOU CAN LEARN:

• The basics of the pottery wheel
• The procedures of various hand-building techniques including carving, coiling, slab, and pinch construction 
• ​How to make your own vases, bowls, mugs, sculptures, and whatever else you can imagine
• To design and experiment with the building of your uniquely designed pottery forms
• To tryout investigational glazing design and applications 

LESSON OPTIONS & WHAT TO EXPECT:

Demonstrations, tool use, clay, glaze, and firing costs included in all pricing

• ​Two 2-Hour Lessons (4 hours total / consecutive weeks): $100 for one person/private lessons ($50 per lesson)
  • First lesson: 2-hour session: Design and build your clay work(s) 
  • I will trim and foot your work
  • Second lesson: 2-hour session: Glaze your bisque fired clay work(s)​

• Four 2-Hour Lessons (8 hours total / consecutive weeks): $175 for one person/private lessons  ($43.75 per lesson)
  • First & Second ​Lessons: 2-hour sessions each: Design and build your clay works   
  • Third Lesson: 2-hour session: Trim and foot clay works from previous lessons​
  • Fourth Lesson: 2-hour session: Glaze your bisque fired clay work(s)

 

• ​Bring-A-Friend: ​Two 2-Hour Lessons (4 hours total / consecutive weeks for two people): $95 / per person ($47.50 per lesson / per person)

• ​Bring-A-Friend: ​Four 2-Hour Lessons (8 hours total / consecutive weeks for two people): $170 / per person ($42.50 per lesson / per person)
