THE STUDIO
Born and raised in Southington, I began creating my home studio in 2018 with big dreams to one day hold small group lessons. Now, Freebird Studio is designed for all those interested in the creation of pottery. Here, you are encouraged to take on challenges, learn new or further pottery skills, and have fun while you create. The studio is comfortably equipped with large worktables, wedging table, two pottery wheels, slab roller, and plenty of specialized tools.

CLAY & GLAZE
I use a variety of locally sourced clay from Sheffield Pottery located in Massachusetts. Clays vary in color and texture, allowing you to choose what works best for your building needs. There is always plenty on-hand in the studio for you to work on any type of project. I have a wide selection of mixed glazes and underglazes that are brushed-on, suitable to create varying surface finishes. All glazes are food safe and non-toxic. Glazes can be painted on in ways that are as unique as the clay build itself. Experimentation with mixing color combinations and application methods is always encouraged!
